- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆They refused to accept my coupon to receive $25 off preparation and didnt tell me until after they had prepared so I had no choice to go elsewhere. The preparation fee was over $200 for my husband and I to file our federal and state taxes jointly. My tax preparer did not seem to know what she was doing and had to ask her colleagues multiple questions. Part of my refund credit was denied so I expected approximately $400 more than my true refund. The ONE positive was how fast I received my refund (direct deposit to my checking). I will not have H&R prepare my taxes in the future again and DO NOT RECOMMEND.By Melissa Shoffner, May 27, 2017
